Updating Essex remains our focus, providing the relevant information and progress towards the key objectives described in the LSIP Report for Essex, Southend and Thurrock.

Throughout stage 2 we will continue to do the following

•    Provide leadership and support to the skills system and reduce wherever possible duplication of activity and spending of revenue. 
•    Work towards making the skills landscape easier to navigate for businesses, educators, and training providers.
•    Monitor and support the realisation of the Essex LSIP and to keep it under review to ensure that it is still relevant and reflects the skills needs of Essex.
•    Maintain skills alignment with larger national infrastructure projects.

Whilst working toward to the objectives we will continually review the road map against deliverables and provide relevant updates towards progress.

Our continued outreach to employers remains central to the work we are undertaking and we remain committed to engaging with as many employers who express an interest in participating in the skills ecosystem. It remains imperative that the views and needs of employers remain central the evolving landscape of the Local Skills Improvement Plan in Essex.  The skills system in Essex is vibrant and has a willingness to adapt and respond, so it remains pivotal that schools, colleges, universities, independent training providers and local authorities continue to work together to deliver the qualifications and skills employers in Essex need.
