Essex County Council Apprenticeship Support
Essex County Council’s Essex 200 Apprenticeship Support Fund helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) take on and support apprentices. Limited funding available - apply early to secure up to £2,000 per apprentice, paid in two equal instalments.

Location: The business and the apprentice must be located within an Essex postcode area.

Business Size: Open to SMEs only

Apprentice start date:
Recently hired: employment must start no more than 3 months before applying.
Apprenticeship enrolment must be completed within 3 months after applying.
Recruiting: apprentice must be both employed and enrolled within 3 months of the application date.

- Training: Apprentices must be enrolled in an approved apprenticeship training programme between 01 July 2025 and 31 March 2026.
Funding is limited to two apprentices per business. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. The decision of Essex County Council is final.
