LSIP 2.0 - Have Your Say: Help Shape the Future of Skills in Our Region

As we transition into the next phase of development, we are actively refining our established sector groups in preparation for devolution and the implementation of Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) 2.0.

This is a pivotal moment for our region. The insights and experiences of local employers are more important than ever in shaping a skills system that truly reflects the needs of our economy. That’s why we continue to prioritise direct, one-on-one engagement with employers, while also strengthening the continuity and impact of our sectoral groups.

These groups are the backbone of our collaborative approach—ensuring that momentum is maintained and that the voices of businesses across all sectors are heard loud and clear.

To support this, we’re launching a series of employer engagement events throughout the autumn and winter. These events will bring together key stakeholders including local authorities, colleges, and independent training providers to ensure a joined-up, responsive approach to skills planning.

📅 All event dates will be published on our website by the end of July.
