Colchester Institute marked the end of a successful academic year with its annual “Celebrating Success” evening on 8th July 2025. The event brought together guests, including business leaders, sponsors, local government representatives, and key sector stakeholders, to reflect on the achievements of 2024–25 and look ahead to the future.
The evening was opened by Lisa Blake, Chair of the Corporation Board, and featured a keynote address from Pam Donnelly, Chief Executive of Colchester Council, titled “A College for our City.” Her speech praised the college’s role in developing a skilled local workforce and supporting economic growth and community wellbeing.
Principal and Chief Executive Alison Andreas highlighted the college’s milestones, including:
- A positive Ofsted outcome.
- Record student and apprenticeship numbers.
- Continued success in national competitions.

As Colchester Institute continues to align with the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), events like this reinforce the power of partnership in shaping a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready education and training system.
